About Artists

Swe Brinin

Swe\'s Portrait

Swe Brinin’s interest in art was established at an early age, continuing her love of visual expression through high school, she employed various styles and materials to create reflections of her inner feelings. During the final years of her high school education her art could no longer sustain her vivid imagination and complex thought patterns, so chose to share her creative passion over several areas including design, and literature.

Ever since I was a child I’ve always had a passion for art, yet it was only in high school when I started to take it seriously. After leaving school I finished a 2 year course in Animation and I have been applying my artistic skills to my college projects. Recently I have experimented more with my colour and combining different styles of painting. I love expressing myself artistically with drawing and painting and I have recently starting painting digitally with a Wacom Tablet. In the future I hope to develop a unique style and apply it to different mediums. I’m also very interested in applying my artistic styles to different areas such as fashion and photography.

The simplest way to describe me is by using the term “arty farty” – this is how i am often described by my work mates and family! I constantly have half finished paintings/drawings or projects lying around the house and sometimes its hard to finish one piece when your mind is always thinking about another! Since i was young i have always had a keen sense in fashion and art – my favourite pieces are often bold, vibrant, colourful however i also adore the simplicity of black and white pieces. I love being able to express myself creatively and i hope to apply my creative streak in other areas down the track.

ART IS LONG, LIFE IS SHORT. When I was a little girl I once saw some of my father’s art work on a letter. He wanted to give it to my mother to show his feelings for her. In my opinion, art is exactly that. Art allows us to present our feelings and thoughts and to give them to someone else. This is what an artist has to do. Therefore I can say that art is not difficult, but always amazing.
